PSA; Magnums aren't just for giant porn-star penises, they're for us regular folk as well! Magnums are more about 'girth' than length.I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I really think that part of sex ed should include a section on how to properly measure yourself for a condom. I spent years suffering through 'regular' sized condoms; different materials and brands would have little affect on the numbness, pain, etc. that I would experience during sex. Sex with a condom was a chore and rarely worth the time, and this led to some risky decisions on my part. I was always put off by the 'Magnum' moniker, I am a very meek and humble person, so I always thought 'Magnums' were for guys that were just HUGE. That was until one day I read about the 'toilet paper roll test'. Basically, you put your member into a paper towel roll, and give yourself an erection. After getting an erection, if the cardboard roll is stuck, you should be using a 'girthier' condom. Once I made the switch, the difference was night and day; while still not as good as sex with no condom, I could still enjoy myself without having to endure the pain. I've now transitioned to a phase of my life where I will no longer be needing condoms, but I will be very sure to have my son know about the 'toilet paper roll' test so that he can make safe decisions once he becomes sexually active.
